Run to Him 2014 (52 of 319).jpg

Glitter and glow, run to him 5K / 1 mile fun run

If you've ever wanted to race in an all female race, then this is the race for you!

Learning to endure a sport like running is equal to learning to endure faith in life.  In order to run this race in life we are required to be fit spiritually, mentally and physically. One is no good without the other.  Balance is key!

Physically. Create a healthier you and make it possible to reach a new demographic of potential believers!

Matthew 28:19-20"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Mentally. Learn the discipline and endurance that it takes to'run the race set before us.'

Hebrews 12:1 "Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us."

Spiritually. Cease not to give God the glory for all that we accomplish.

Psalm 86:12 "I will praise you, O lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever."

Even with a balanced life, we are incapable of successfully running this eternal race alone.

So, we must RUN TO HIM!

Read this testimony from a lady who participated in a Run for God...  "I am still amazed every day at what God teaches me through training, and today racing and crossing that finish line.  But more than running, which I love, I'm so thankful and astonished each day for what God has taught me through this eternal race with Him!  As we approached those hills tonight I just envisioned a battle in my life with God beside me helping me conquer that hill in my life just like the hill in front of me and I just kept saying, "just one foot in front of the other, one step at a time, God help me."  and I felt his love and power all through me.  What a wonderful experience this has been."

We all have those hills in our life, but WITH GOD we can overcome those adversities,  just like we will cross that finish line on May 27th.  TOGETHER.  As OVERCOMERS!  We must run to him and seek him first in all things.  He will never leave us nor forsake us.  He will supply all of our needs according to his riches in glory. This is our chance to come together with our girlfriends in god and face those hills head on.

Some may say I've never ran in a 5k... that's ok, you CAN do it!

Philippians 4:13  "I can do ALL things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me." This is an opportunity for you to set a goal within yourself that's strictly between you and God.  You may want to finish first. Or you may just not want to be last.  Maybe you just want to cross that finish line to prove to yourself that you can do it.  Whatever the case, this is your opportunity to be an overcomer.

This event is not timed making it ideal for both experienced runners and first-time participants.  We welcome runners and walkers of all ages and athletic abilities.     NOT A RUN FOR TIME...JUST A RUN TO CROSS THE LINE!

Just like life, it will be what you make it.  RUN TO HIM and OVERCOME!

Thank you all for your support and prayers through a journey we get to share together.  When God gave me this "5k vision" approximately 5 years ago, I knew it was much bigger than me.  So with that said, I am bracing myself to see him show off in all of you.  I know that what I envision is not even a taste of what God has in store.   1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him."  I am looking forward to combining our girlfriends, glitter and glow to see God's light SHINE through us all together!

We are thrilled to come together for our 3rd Annual event this year.  Last year's event we had 225 participants and with our profits we will be able to present (2) $500 "Chandler Rae Grogg Memorial Scholarships", in memory of my niece, to high school girls to encourage their dreams in who God is calling them to be.  God is good and we are so very thankful to all who took part in last year's event.
